Reminiscence Learning is a Somerset based registered charity and provides a specialist training experience for three main areas within the care industry.

A dedicated team of people work together to ensure that all training courses are prepared and delivered in a professional and educational way yet are fun, practical and thought provoking with comprehensive resource files and certificate.

We train people at all levels of ability and need and are therefore suitable for Private Individuals, Carers, Volunteers, Professionals, NHS Trusts, Nursing and Residential Homes, Day Hospitals and Community Centres.

We offer a series of training courses both accredited, National Open College Network (NOCN) / QCF, and activity taster workshops for those wishing to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of dementia, activity and reminiscence. Reminiscence Learning promotes a person centred approach to care focusing on the importance of life story work for an individual.

Innovative and engaging activity sessions are delivered by our activity angels in nursing homes, residential homes and day centres. They work alongside health care assistants and activity organisers to run and mentor activity sessions and projects within the care home environment.

Our main centre for training is based at Taunton. However, on request we are able to deliver many of our courses within your own care environment.

Whether it is an NOCN accredited course, an activity themed workshop, dementia or multicultural day, we are confident that all our courses will enable you to make people’s lives more engaged and stimulated as all courses are backed up by our comprehensive range of resources, memorabilia and artifacts.

Reminiscence Learning is a registered charity and we are therefore able to offer courses at subsidised rates.
